Experiences:
My career in television has allowed me several exciting opportunities.
I am currently a morning anchor and reporter for WLFI News Channel 18 in West Lafayette. I have covered many events ranging from politics to snow storms. In 2007, I was on the WLFI set when an earthquake rocked the midwest. This was incredible learning experience for me. I was able to connect with viewers and to re-assure them, many whom had never felt an earthquake before. This is just one of the many events that have helped shaped my journalism career.

In 2005, I traveled to Bayou La Batre, Alabama with WIWU-TV
51 shortly after Hurricane Katrina. I have never seen
destruction like what the waves and wind left
behind.
.
We visited Bayou Wesleyan Church, a disaster relief site
set up by World Hope International. The church became a
distribution site for clothes and food and a shelter for
the homeless. The donations from around the country were
overwhelming. You can see the complete story of the news
report from Bayou La Batre on the video page of this
site.

In 2006, I traveled as
part of a video team to Israel and Jordan on a Holy Land
Tour in the Middle East. We traveled with Dr. Wilbur
Williams (Archaeologist and professor of Old Testament
documenting his 127th trip.

You can see the complete
story of the news report from Israel on the video page of
this site.
In 2006, I reported on a new police dog joining the Benton
County Sheriff's Department. To truly get the full impact
(so to speak) of the story, I strapped on a suit and let
the dog attack. It's a once in a lifetime chance - unless
you plan on robbing a bank.

I also had the chance to fly
the blimp the Bloomin' Onion One owned by Outback
Steakhouse while the ship was in West Lafayette (Purdue vs.
Ohio State football game). See the complete story on the
video page of this site.
